According to a study from the University of California in San Diego, a new approach to therapy in rats has a success rate that is three times higher when it comes to effectiveness in recovery from spinal cord injury. Doctors used a combination of different therapies to assist rats. A commonly used stroke drug was used in combination with preconditioned neural progenitor cells. This was three times more effective than the stroke drug alone, according to the doctors and scientists behind this study.
Some of the rats in treatment were able to fully move by the end of the therapy–an unexpected result.
That’s good news for people, even if it doesn’t seem like it at first. It implies that combining recovery therapies is going to be a lot more effective than just doing one thing. And this makes sense. It’s a strategy used in education, business, and multiple other fields. Doing something in multiple ways increases its efficacy. It naturally makes sense that this is going to help the people that we love when they are going through treatment or recovery for something, too.
When it comes to helping a loved one find senior care, the goal isn’t to find adequate care. The goal is to find the type of care that is going to be the most effective type of care that you can. Good enough doesn’t cut it here. You want the best. Why would you settle for one type of therapy when an addition to that therapy can make it a lot more effective. If a little “extra” can help, why would you not pursue it?
And that’s where we can step in and help. By helping you to figure out what your loved one’s needs are, and then pointing you toward the resources and services that will be most effective for your specific set of needs within your family, our hope is that you will find the combination of services, care, and attention that is going to help your family out the most. Each individual is unique and has their own combination of things that will work best for them. What works best for one family might not be the best for another because of this complexity.
That’s okay. We are all unique, and a unique approach to care and medical services is the direct result of that. By focusing on the individual needs and goals, you are going to find that senior care, therapy, and whatever else you are pursuing for your family or yourself is going to be a lot more effective.
We are here to help. This is a complicated process and it can be overwhelming. Please know that you’re not alone in the fight to help your family get the care and attention that they deserve. Our consultation service is free and there’s no obligation to use our care services afterward.
